Jaypee Palace Hotel, Agra (Uttar Pradesh)

The property in Agra offered a late buffet breakfast, which was outstanding and delicious. The rooms had some issues with drains/sewage smell and leakage in the washroom, and the service seemed untrained in some areas despite being cooperative. The location is great, just 3 km from the Taj, with well-maintained interiors. The dining experience was good but a bit messy given the room rates.

The hotel offers rooms with balconies overlooking beautiful gardens, but unfortunately, they are located on the same level as the train track without double glazing, leading to disturbance from noise outside such as room parties and children playing in the corridor. The outdoor seating area provides a lovely view of the gardens.

The hotel offers plenty of entertainment opportunities in the rooms, but they are located really far from the main lobby. The smell of drains or sewage is noticeable unless the air conditioning is on.

The hotel rooms were awesome with a 3km walking track and swimming pool, but the downside was the smell of drains unless the air conditioning was on. The service was highly courteous and amazing, though a bit challenging during check-in for two guests at the same time. The location was excellent with beautiful lawns and fauna, but some additional services like a relaxation room would be beneficial. The dining experience was outstanding, but there were some misses in the 24h Cafe. Overall, the hotel was not up to the standard in some areas.

The hotel offers rooms of 4-star quality and a delicious breakfast, set in a charming ambiance with long corridors and lounges offering views over gardens and the pool. The blankets could be warmer, though.
